Movement Foundations

Suggested price: $100.00

Movement foundations is a 6-session program designed to help you get started with yoga-based movement in a safe and fun environment. The first series begins on Thursday, January 20th, and we will meet at 6:30 PM on 1/20, 1/27, 2/3, 2/10, 2/24, and 3/3.

The suggested price for the entire series is $100. But, I don’t want finances to get in the way of you gaining the tools to live a healthy and fulfilled life, so I’ve set things up in a way that you can name your own price! (Remember this is for all 6 customized classes.)

If you have an active membership or class pack, just reach out to me so we can discuss.  Select “In-Store Payment” in the checkout process to pay by Cash or Check at the studio.

Check out the description below for the week-by-week plan and other helpful links.

No experience is necessary and all ages/abilities are welcome. I will guide you through safe modifications and variations of each shape we discuss so that you can learn more about your body and beneficial variations in movement.

If you’re local, I highly recommend attending live at the studio in Tellico Plains. There will be a Zoom link as well for anyone that isn’t local or if you can’t make it live for any of the sessions.

Here’s the weekly focus for all 6 classes! We will meet on Thursday evening at 6:30 PM. There will be no class held on February 17th as this conflicts with the PickTN conference.

  • Week 1 (Jan 20): Intro & Standing Poses
  • Week 2 (Jan 27): Forward Bending
  • Week 3 (Feb 3): Back Bending
  • Week 4 (Feb 10): Side Bending
  • Week 5 (Feb 24): Twists
  • Week 6 (Mar 3): Putting it all together with Vinyasa

Being the oldest couple in this, our very first yoga class, has been so beneficial for both my husband and I. I suffer with Fibromyalgia, Rheumatoid Arthritis and severe Osteoarthritis of my entire spine. My husband has Osteoarthritis of the lower spine and knees. Jeremy was very conscientious about folks with limitations. He guided us through modifications making it safe for folks like us. This in turn is allowing us to learn how to safely gain movement outside of Physical Therapy. He has a no judgement attitude and encourages everyone to stay safe and listen to your body. I’m not saying we weren’t sore after our classes but we know movement is the only thing that will allow us to keep moving! Doing so in a fun environment is a big plus!
